  • Warren Spahn (40 years old in 1961) is the oldest starting pitcher in All-Star history.
  • The youngest player to start in an All-Star Game was Al Kaline who was 20 in 1955.
  • In 1986, Dwight Gooden is the youngest starting pitcher when he was just 21.
  • Carlton Fisk is the oldest player to get a hit in All-Star Game. He was 43 in 1991.
  • Stan Musial was 39 when he hit a home run in the 1960 All-Star Game, making him the oldest player to ever hit one out of the park.
