- In a game at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego, the American League gets a 13-6 victory. The American League lineup chases the NL's Tom Glavine from the game in the first inning. Glavine surrendered four runs on seven consecutive singles. Ken Griffey Jr. goes 3-3 with a home run and is named the MVP.

- The American League continues its streak with a 9-3 win at Camden Yards. Kirby Puckett hits a home run and a double and earns MVP honors. This game will be remembered for the at-bat when John Kruk faced Randy Johnson. Johnson threw is pitches over and around the gritty Kruk.

- The National League breaks its six-game losing streak with an 8-7 win in the 10th inning. Tony Gwynn scores the winning run off a hit from Moises Alou. Fred McGriff hit a home run for the NL in the ninth to force the extra innings and was named MVP. Pitcher John Hudek of Houston was named to the All-Star roster and became the first pitcher to be selected to an All-Star squad prior to getting his first major league victory.  Hudek collected 16 saves for Houston in 1994 and, when the season was over, he still hadn't collected a pitching victory.

- The National League wins 3-2 in a game played in Arlington, Texas. The NL won despite collecting just 3 hits -- all were solo home runs. Craig Biggio, Mike Piazza and Jeff Conine supplyed the power for the NL. Conine was named MVP.

- The National League shutout the AL on the way to a 6-0 victory at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia. Mike Piazza homored and doubled to earn MVP honors. AL and NL pitchers set an All-Star record by not issuing a walk in the game.

- Cleveland fans were treated to the heroics of an Indians player as the American League won 3-1 in a game at Jacobs Field. Cleveland's Sandy Alomar hit a two-run home run in the seventh inning and earned MVP honors. It made Alomar the first player to win the MVP honor in his home ballpark.  Randy Johnson recreated his faceoff with John Kruk. This time the victim was Larry Walker. Johnson's first pitch sailed over Walker's head. Walker simply flipped his batting helmet around and stepped to the over side of the plate to pick up ball two. Walker won this one, drawing a walk.

- AL, 13-8, at Coors Field in Denver.  Roberto Alomar hits a solo home run and earns MVP honors. Barry Bonds and Alex Rodriguez also homered.

- AL, 4-1, at Fenway Park, Boston.  The AL wins its 3rd straight. Boston's Pedro Martinez pitched himself into All-Star history by striking out the first 4 batters he faced. Martinez struck out 5 in the game and won the MVP honor.

- AL, 6-3, at Turner Field, Atlanta.  The AL's Derek Jeter and the NL's Chipper Jones both go 3-for-3. Jeter earns MVP honors, the first time it had been won by a NY Yankee.

- Tony Gwynn is named an honorary member of the National League All-Star Team. Cal Ripken Jr. starts the game at shortstop at the request of Alex Rodriguez and hits a home run in his first at-bat for the AL. Ripken is named MVP. Gwynn and Ripken retired at the end of the season..
