Jim Westlake, who had a single at-bat with the Phillies in 1955, died on Jan. 3, 2003 in Sacramento, Calif.
His career as a player including stints with the Sacramento Salons and San Francisco Seals of the Pacific Coast League. In 1949, he participated in a PCL All-Star Team that toured Japan.
Following his career in baseball, he worked for 50 years as a salesman at a paper company.
