Jeff Twitty, born in Lancaster, South Carolina, made his debut in Major League Baseball at the age of 22 with Kansas City.
In 1980, the lefthander pitched 22 innings in 13 games and finished with a 2-1 record.
He allowed 23 hits and struck out nine batters. His earned run average for the season was 6.14. Twitty played for the University of South Carolina baseball team in 1978-79.
