Earl Edwin Turner

Earl Turner, a catcher who played in 42 major league games, died on Oct. 20, 1999 in Pittsfield, Mass.
He was 25 years old when he made his debut with Pittsburgh in 1948. He played in two games that season and was hitless in a single at-bat.
He returned to the majors with Pittsburgh in 1950, hitting .243 with three home runs and five RBI in 40 games.
