Harry Taylor, a pitcher with the Brooklyn Dodgers in the late 1940s, died on Nov. 5, 2000.
After a brief debut in 1946, Taylor pitched in 33 games for the Dodgers in 1947. In his most productive season in the majors, Taylor finished 10-5 with a 3.11 ERA in 162 innings. He also started Game 4 of the World Series, but he was forced out of the game with arm problems after facing four batters.
He was just 9-16 over the next 4 seasons.
