Jim Suchecki, who pitched in 38 major league games, died on July 20, 2000, in Crofton, Md.

Suchecki appeared briefly with Boston in 1950. In May 1951, the Red Sox traded Suchecki, Jim McDonald, Matt Batts and $100,000 to the St. Louis Browns for catcher Les Moss.

Suchecki started 6 games that year and finished the season with an 0-6 record with a 5.42 ERA.

He pitched briefly for Pittsburgh in 1952.
