Jerry Stephenson's career as a player was brief -- he appeared in a total of 29 games over the course of the 1943, 1944 and 1947 seasons.
He contributed much more after his playing career ended. Stephenson became a major league scout for the Boston Red Sox and signed such players as Fred Lynn, Bill Lee and Dwight Evans.
