Frank Seward, who pitched for two seasons in the major leagues, died on April 12, 2004, in Elmira, N.Y.
His career numbers include a 3-3 record and a 5.15 ERA in 87.1 innings. He recorded 18 strikeouts and walked 37 batters.
Seward made his debut with the New York Giants on Sept. 28, 1943, and he recorded a loss in a complete game. In 1944, he pitched to a 3-2 record and a 5.40 ERA in 78.1 innings.
In 1946, he recorded a 15-13 record for the San Francisco Seals of the Pacific Coast League.
