Sonny Senerchia was 21 years old when he made his debut with Pittsburg on Aug. 22, 1952. The former third baseman died on Nov. 1, 2003 in Freehold, N.J.
In 100 at-bats that season, Senerchia hit .220 with 3 home runs and 11 RBIs. His final game in the major leagues came on Sept. 28, 1952.
In January 1956, the St. Louis Cardinals traded Senerchia and Brooks Lawrence to Cincinnati for Jackie Collum.
