Mike Schultz, who pitched in a single game in the major leagues, died on Aug. 2, 2004 in Syracuse, N.Y.

His only game in the major leagues came on April 20, 1947 when he pitched two innings for the Cincinnati Reds. Schultz, 26, gave up four hits and two runs -- one of them earned -- for a 4.50 ERA.
