Norm Schlueter, who played in 118 games in the major leagues, died on Oct. 6, 2004 in Belleville, Ill.

Schlueter hit .186 in 296 career at-bats. The catcher drove in 26 runs in his career and stole three bases.

He debuted in 1938 with the Chicago White Sox, playing in 35 games. He played in 34 games for Chicago in 1939 and reappeared in the major leagues in 1944 with the Cleveland Indians.
