Reggie Sanders, a native of Florence, South Carolina, has spent 10 seasons as an outfielder in major league baseball. The one time Spartanburg Methodist College baseball player made his debut with the Cincinnati Reds during the 1991 season.

Sanders has hit more than 20 home runs in a season three times in his career. His highest run batted in total came in 1995 when he had 99. That season, he played in his only All-Star game of his career so far.

Sanders spent the first eight years of his career with the Reds. Before the 1999 season, he went to the San Diego Padres as part of a deal for Greg Vaughn.  In 2000, he became a member of the Atlanta Braves in a trade that sent Ryan Klesko and Bret Boone for the Padres for Quilvio Veras and Sanders.

Sanders rebounded from a poor 2000 season in 2001. As a member of the Arizona Diamondbacks, he played a key role in the team's success and road to the World Series victory.
