Emerson "Steve" Roser, a pitcher, was a member of the New York Yankees from 1944 to 1946 and a part of the Boston Braves in 1946. He died in 2002.
In his best year in the majors, in 1944, he pitched to a 4-3 record with 1 save for the Yankees. In appeared in 16 games, starting in 6 and pitching a shutout. His ERA was 3.86 and he struck out 34 in 84 innings.
Roser was a sports star at Clarkson University before signing with the New York Yankees. He retired from baseball following an elbow injury.
