Billy Reed, who played in 15 games in the major leagues in 1952, died on Dec. 5, 2005 in Houston, Texas.

Reed his .250 in his brief career in the major leagues. The second baseman collected 13 hits in 52 at-bats and scored four runs.

He was signed by Philadelphia in 1946 and joined the Braves organization before the 1947 season. He played in the minor leagues with the Milwaukee Brewers.
