Bob Ramazzotti, who played in parts of 7 major league seasons, died on Feb. 15, 2000, in Altoona, Pa.

He had 851 at-bats in the major leagues and picked up 196 hits, 4 home runs and 53 RBIs.  He was a .230 hitter.

His most productive season came in 1952 when he hit .284 in 183 at-bats for the Cubs.  He had a home run and 12 RBIs that season and added 3 stolen bases.

He made his debut with Brooklyn in 1946. In 1949, the Dodgers traded him to the Cubs for Harry Schenz and cash.
