Buddy Peterson, who played in 13 games in the major leagues, died on Sept. 19, 2006 in Sacramento, Calif.

Peterson played in six games for the White Sox in 1955 and seven games for the Orioles in 1957. He hit .237 in 38 at-bats and drove in two runs.

He had been playing for San Diego of the Pacific Coast League when his contract was purchased by Chicago in August 1955.
