Willie Lee Patterson Jr.
Willie Lee "Pat" Patterson, who played for a number of Negro Leagues teams, died on Aug. 20, 2004 in Mobile, Ala. He was 85.
According to his obituary, Patterson had a career that lasted for 11 seasons and included time with the Birmingham Black Barons, the Memphis Red Sox, the Chicago American Giants, the Philadelphia Stars and the New York Cubans.
He was the starting first baseman in the East-West All-Star game in 1952 and 1953, according to his obituary.
After his retirement from baseball, he worked as a longshoreman in Mobile.
