Bitsy Mott's career began in Florida and included stints as a clown and as Elvis Pressley's personal guard.

Mott played baseball in the old Florida Orange Belt League and played well enough to catch the eye of the Philadelphia Phillies.  In 1945, he played 90 games as a shortstop for the Phillies, hitting .221 with 22 RBI.

He never played another year in the majors. He returned to Florida and played for the Tampa Smokers, a semi-pro team that lasted until 1954. His life changed when his sister married Col Tom Parker and Mott found a new line of work as Elvis' personal security guard.

His time with King included appearance in 5 Elvis movies.

After he retired from work at Graceland, Mott became a clown, entertaining numerous children at parties and other events.
