After baseball, he turned his attentions to another sport and became a minority partner of the Oakland Raiders. McGah died Sept. 30, 2002, on his 81st birthday. He joined his father as one of the original partners in the Oakland Raiders franchise. "Ed McGah's friendship and counsel will be deeply missed by the Raiders," team owner Al Davis said following McGah's death. McGah played professional baseball for the Boston Red Sox in 1946 and 1947. |
