Bob Mahoney, who pitched in 36 games in Major League Baseball, died on Aug. 27, 2000.

Mahoney debuted with the White Sox on May 3, 1951. Between Chicago and the St. Louis Browns, he pitched in 33 games in 1941, finishing with a 2-5 record and a 4.52 ERA.

He pitched in 3 games for the Browns in 1952.
