Morris Madden, a native of Laurens, South Carolina, made his debut with the Detroit Tigers in 1987. Madden pitched in just two games that season, allowing three earned runs in 1.2 innings pitched.

A year later, he appeared in five games with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He didn't allow a run in 5.2 innings pitched and collected three strikeouts.

In 1989, his last season in the Major Leagues, Madden finished with a 2-2 record in 9 games. He started three games, allowing 11 earned runs in 14 innings pitched.
