Lynn Lovenguth, who pitched 27 innings in the major leagues, died on Sept. 29, 2000.

Lovenguth debuted with the Phillies in 1955 and posted an 0-2 record and a 4.50 era in 18 innings pitched. He returned to the majors in 1957 with St. Louis and appeared in 2 games.

In 1956, he won 24 games for Toronto and was named the Most Valuable Pitcher in the International League.
