Mike Kosman, who appeared in one game for the Reds in 1944, died on Dec. 10, 2002 in Layfatte, Ind.

On April 20, 1944, he was sent into the game to pinch-run. He was thrown out at the plate to end his major league career. He never registered a major league at-bat.

Prior to his professional career, Kosman played college baseball for Indiana.
