Dick Kimble joined the Washington Senators in 1945 for his only season in the majors. He appeared in 20 games at shortstop and collected 12 hits in 49 at-bats.

In 1948, he played for the Minnesota Millers and Louisville of the American Association. He appeared in 99 games  between the two teams and hit .323 with 6 home runs and 47 RBIs.
