Woody Jensen, an outfielder who played in nine seasons in the major leagues, died on Oct. 5, 2001 in Wichita, Kansas.

As a major leaguer, he hit .285 with 26 home runs and 235 RBI in 738 games.

Forrest played in the semi-pro Timber League and, therefore, earned the nickname, Woody. 

He debuted in 1931, hitting .243 in 73 games with 3 home runs and 17 RBI.  His most productive seasons in the major leagues game in 1935 and 1936 when he hit .324 and .283 respectively.  He hit 18 home runs between the two seasons and drove in 62 runs in 1935 and 58 in 1936.
