Red Hayworth, a catcher who played for two seasons in the major leagues with the St. Louis Browns, died on Nov. 2, 2006 in High Point, N.C. He was 91.
Hayworth made his debut in the 1944 season and he hit .212 in 430 at-bats in his career. His numbers include a home run and 42 RBI. He was the younger brother of major league player Ray Hayworth.
He played in the 1944 World Series, collecting two hits in 17 at-bats.
