Francis "Red" Hardy, who pitched two games for the Giants in 1951, died on Aug. 15, 2003 in Phoenix, Ariz. He was 80.
Hardy pitched 1.1 innings in 2 games in the major leagues in 1951. He made his debut on June 20 and pitched in his last game on June 23. His minor league stops included the Minneapolis Millers.
Hardy also served in the Navy during World War II as a pilot.
