Chet Hajduk, who appeared in the major leagues for a single at-bat, died on July 5, 2006, in Chicago, Ill.

His lone appearance in the major leagues came on April 16, 1941. The 22 year old was hitless in his only plate appearance.

He served in the Navy during World War II. According to his obituary, he was named to the service All-Star team in 1943.

Following his career in baseball, he was a custom home builder.
