John Grodzicki, who pitched in 24 games in the major leagues, died on May 2, 1998 in Daytona Beach, Fla.

He posted a career record of 2-2 in 40.2 innings pitched.

Grodzicki was 24 years old when he debuted on April 18, 1941 with the Cardinals. He did not return to the major leagues until 1946 and pitched four innings that season. He pitched for the Cardinals again in 1947 and never appeared again in the majors.
