John Glenn Gerlach

Johnny Gerlach, who hit .333 in 27 at-bats in the major leagues, died on Aug. 28, 1999 in Madison, Wis.
He was 21 years old when he debuted with the White Sox in 1938. He hit .280 with an RBI in 25 at-bats that season. In 1939, he collected two hits in two at-bats for his last appearance in the major leagues.
In January 1940, the White Sox traded him, along with Ollie Bejma, to the Indians for Skeeter Webb.
