Bob Garber, who pitched in two games in his major league career, died on June 7, 1999 in Redwood City, Calif.

In two major league games, he allowed an earned run in four innings, struck out three batters and finished with a 2.25 ERA. He made his debut on May 13, 1956 with Pittsburgh and pitched his final game in the majors on Sept. 23, 1956.

After his career in baseball, he worked for S.C. Johnson and Sons Wax Company in Redwood City.
