He never collected more than 317 at-bats in any season and spent much of his time as a pinch hitter. His most productive season came in 1968 when he hit .270 for the Dodgers with 10 home runs and 35 RBI. In May 1965, Gabrielson and Dick Bertell were traded from the Giants to the Cubs for Harvey Kuenn, Bob Hendley and Ed Bailey. His father, Len Gabrielson, played in 5 games with the Phillies in 1939. |
