Bob Davis, who pitched in two seasons in the major leagues, died on Dec. 22, 2001 in New York, N.Y.
Davis pitched in 29 games in the major leagues, posting an 0-4 record and a 5.71 ERA in 63 innings pitched. He recorded a save and struck out 50 batters.
He was 24 when he debuted with the Kansas City Athletics in 1958. He pitched in eight games that season, including four starts, and he posted an 0-4 record and a 7.84 ERA.
In 1960, he returned to the majors with the Athletics and he pitched 32 innings in 21 games. He posted a save that season and compiled a 3.66 ERA.
