Harry Bright, who hit 17 home runs with the Senators in 1962, died on March 13, 2000 in Sacramento, Calif.
In 1960, the expansion Senators traded Bobby Shantz to Pittsburgh for Bright and 2 other players. His best season came in 1962 as a Senator when he hit .273 with 17 home runs and 67 RBIs in 392 at-bats.
In 1963, Bright, a member of the New York Yankees, was the final out of Game 1 of the World Series. He struck out to give Sandy Koufax 15 strikeouts in the game.
