Bishop made his debut in the major leagues on April 16, 1983 for the New York Mets. He played in his final game on April 24, 1983 and he recorded one hit in eight career at-bats. The catcher also had one error in his major league career. He was drafted by the California Angels in the 12th round of the 1976 amateur draft and he was granted his free agency in 1982. In 1983, he signed with the Mets. |
