George Archie played for 3 seasons in the major leagues with the Tigers, Senators and Browns.
In 1941, he hit .269 in 378 at-bats for the Washington Senators. He hit 3 home runs and drove in 48 runs. He also had 11 hits in 29 at-bats for the Browns that season.
Following the 1941 season, Archie put his playing career on hold to serve in the military from 1942-45.
