Bob Allen, who pitched for Philadelphia (NL) in 1937, died on Oct. 30, 2005 in Chesapeake, Va. He was 91.
He made his major league debut on Sept. 19, 1937. He pitched 12 innings in three games in the majors, including a start. And finished with an 0-1 record and a 6.75 ERA with eight strikeouts.
