Bob Aldridge, a former player in the Negro Leagues, died on May 30, 2005 of complications from diabetes in Tallahassee, Fla. He was 80.
According to his obituary, Aldridge played for 10 seasons in the Negro Leagues, from 1945-55. He played for the Cleveland Buckeyes of the Negro American League and he also played in the Florida State Negro League.
Following his baseball career, he worked as a technical engineer at a chemical plant in Tampa, Fla.
